Is it possible to arrange a guided group visit to the Anne Frank House?
No, unfortunately we are not able to provide guided visits to the Anne Frank House. The museum is very compact, and standing still with a group while giving explanations would hold up the flow of visitors.

Do I have to wait in the queue if I have booked an educational programme?
No, you don't have to stand in the queue with your group. The group leader can report to our special group entrance, to the left of the regular visitors' entrance, on arrival. The group will then be admitted through this entrance.

Can pupils under 11 years old also follow an educational programme?
The Anne Frank House offers programmes for pupils from 11 years old. The majority of primary schools deal with the Holocaust at around this time, so our programme has also been developed for this age group. Younger pupils generally do not see the broader context of the story, and can often only remember the distressing details.

If I book an educational programme, do I have to reserve entry tickets separately?
No, you don't have to book entry tickets separately. When you book an educational programme your entry tickets are reserved automatically. You pay for your entry tickets and the educational programme when you arrive at the museum.

How can I cancel my educational programme reservation?
You can only make a cancellation by replying to the confirmation email you received from us, stating in your reply that you wish to cancel the reservation. The confirmation of the cancellation that we will send you is your proof of cancellation. If you do not receive a confirmation of your cancellation, please contact us by telephone on +31 (0)20 556 7100. You can make a cancellation up to two weeks before the planned date with no charge. If you cancel later, you will still have to pay the programme costs.

How can I change my educational programme reservation?
You can indicate minor changes, such as the number of pupils or the language to be used, in your reply to our confirmation email. Simply state the change in your reply. If you want to come on a different date, then you have to cancel your current reservation and make a new one on our website for the date you require.

Can I pay for my educational programme reservation in advance, or pay on account?
It is not possible to pay in advance or on account. We ask you to pay at the entry desk on arrival. You can pay in cash or by credit card.

I have forgotten the time of my reservation. What should I do?
If you no longer know the time of your reservation, you can contact us by email. In your email, let us know the school or organisation you belong to, and we will send you the confirmation again. Please send your email to Reservations .

I have lost my confirmation. What should I do?
If you lose your confirmation, you can contact us by email. In your email, let us know the date of your reservation, and the school or organisation you belong to, and we will send you the confirmation again. Please send your email to Reservations .

Can I book an educational programme in another language?
No, at present it is only possible to follow our programme in Dutch, English or German.

Is it possible to come with two groups at the same time?
No, if you are coming with more than one group you should make a separate reservation, at a separate time, for each group. You can reserve programmes for 9:30 hrs, 11.30 hrs, 13.30 hrs and 15.30 hrs. Only one reservation can be made for each time period.

What if my group is larger than the maximum of 35 people?
If your group is made up of more than 35 people, you should split up the group and make two or more reservations.

Why can only a minimum of two and a maximum of six group leaders accompany the group?
The group leaders from the school are responsible for supervising the young people in the museum. A minimum of two group leaders is needed for this, because the museum can get very busy. It's not necessary to have more than six leaders accompanying the group, and it would then also be too crowded in our group meeting room.

How can I prepare my primary school pupils, aged 11 and over, for the educational programme?
You can choose to read the diary of Anne Frank with your class, and we have developed a special website to help pupils compose an assignment or talk.

How can I prepare my secondary school pupils for the educational programme?
You can order the DVD 'The Short Life of Anne Frank' from our online shop for preparatory work for the educational programme.

How long does an educational programme last?
Our educational programme lasts for two hours. This includes the visit to the museum. The programmes follow immediately after one another, so it is not possible to extend the time of the programme. We therefore advise you to arrive on time.

I want to make a timed reservation using the online reservation system on the website, but I see that very few times are left available. Is the service really fully booked, or is there another way to make a reservation?
On the website you can see exactly what times are still available. If you still want to come at a particular time for which no more online tickets are available, then you can always buy tickets at the Anne Frank House entry desk.

How do I cancel a timed reservation?
Unfortunately timed reservations cannot be cancelled.
