Edith Frank-Holländer, born 1900 – died 1945, will be put in the spotlight for the first time with an exhibition specially dedicated to her in the Anne Frank House. The exhibition ‘Edith Frank-Holländer, Anne’s mother’ opened this afternoon by 82-year-old Dorothy Fraifeld Jenkins-Kronheim, the daughter of Edith Frank’s cousin Irene Kronheim-Holländer.

Photos of the young Edith

The photos on this page were taken between 1915 and 1922. They show a young, carefree Edith. The photos have survived thanks to Irene Holländer, Edith’s cousin and good friend. She fled from the Nazis in 1937 and emigrated to Peru, taking her photos with her.
