Otto goes to the Netherlands
Anne Frank lived in Frankfurt from 1929 to 1933. When her father left for the Netherlands in 1933 to set up his new business, she and her sister Margot stayed with their grandmother in Aachen. Otto's company was called Opekta. Opekta was an ingredient used in jam-making. Otto travelled throughout the Netherlands to sell the product. The first sales demonstration was in Heerlen in Limburg, near Aachen. The Opekta office was set up in Amsterdam.
